Winter Program
ROCK SC Rush WINTER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
**Program Depends Solely on RSCR Being Able to Obtain Gym Space with JSD**
Winter Program: TBD
Purpose:
The hope is to keep as many of our community players active throughout the winter months as we can. The more a player touches the ball, the better the player they will become. Giving the players the opportunity to play year-round will help RSC grow and become more competitive with teams in the Spring and Fall leagues. This will be our 5th year offering the program and we hope that our players take advantage of this opportunity during the winter months.
Who:
RSC Winter Program is for players in our travel academy and competitive grade school and middle school programs, ages U9 -U15 (Middle School) boys and girls. (Unfortunately due to limited space from the school district, we cannot offer a program for in-house U7-U8 or High School players this year).
Schedule:
Sessions will be offered one day a week from the beginning of January until early March. Please see the details in the table below for your age group:
Calendar Dates: TBD
Location: Janesville Craig High School Fieldhouse, 401 S Randall Ave, Janesville, WI 53545
& Janesville Parker High School Main Gym, 3125 Mineral Pt Ave, Janesville, WI 53548
Registration & Fees:
TBD
Session Format:
This will be a coed league with mixed teams each week. However, players will train and compete with players of similar soccer ability and age. The more players that are registered allows for greater flexibility when grouping players each week. Each session will be a mix of foot skill work and futsal games. It goes without saying, the more players we get signed up for, the greater the chances of playing with the same age groups. Each session will involve 60 minutes of skills/drills followed by 60 minutes of gameplay.
Equipment:
Players should bring their own futsal ball for skill work. For players 12U and under, they will need a size 3 futsal ball. Players 13U and older will need a size 4 futsal ball. pinnies for the games, but players must wear a pair of sneakers or indoor soccer shoes that do not get worn outside. Shin guards underneath socks are mandatory.
Registration and Communication:
Registration is not open
